We are still talking about our visit to Chamblins. We started our trip with coffee from the Cafe, and then were directed to where we could find Travis McGee and Detretive Morse books. My husband came very close to completing both collections. Mind you, this wasn't even the big Chamblins! Staff was warm and friendly, helpful and happy. We drove 2.5 hours to visit, and can't wait to go back!
This is the place to buy and sell used books in downtown Jacksonville. Get your choice of drink at the cafe and get lost in books. Smell and feel old books while enjoying your drink.
If you love books, you have to visit Chamblin's Bookmine-the largest bookstore in Florida. From the moment I walked in, I was completely enamored by the collection. The selection is incredible — every aisle feels like a new adventure. I honestly wanted to buy every single book in sight, but somehow narrowed it down to seven (which still feels like a win!). Huge shoutout to Diego and Johnny for helping me track down the books I was looking for. They were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind — the kind of staff that makes the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is cozy and nostalgic, perfect for true book lovers. My only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer to relax and read at their little café — it looked like the perfect spot to get lost in a good book. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly, highly recommend! 📚✨
I was looking for a book as a gift walked in and saw the shelf after shelf of books. Was a little concerned that it was going to be hard to find. Actually felt drawn to a shelf and there it was, Journey to Ixtlan by Carlos Castaneda. Cashier was nice. Purchased it. I was hungry so I checked out the cafe. I had a tasty jerk tempeh wrap and a coffee for lunch and was set. Would definitely recommend the place!

My new favorite book store! The prices are very affordable they also have a cafe inside and the baristas are so friendy. Thank you for the matcha with strawberry cold foam it was delicious. They also have vegan options❤️
I live right by the main Chamblin's Bookstore on Roosevelt, and never tire of going there to browse -- I go most Friday afternoons as a little treat. Chamblin's Uptown is comparatively much smaller than the main store, but is still larger than most indie bookstores. They have a great little cafe, a fantastic selection of used books, LPs, CDs, and more. The vibe here is a bit different than the main store. It's free to park downtown on weekends, but you'll probably have to park a block away (at least in my experience). I had a Thanksgiving style bagel sandwich a few years ago there that I still think about.
Thankfully this coffee shop is right next to my office! I really enjoy their seasonal drinks and how often they add new crafted drinks (the Vietnamese coldbrew is AMAZING). But even their standard iced coffees and lattes are also my favorite in town! The baristas are always so friendly and make great drinks- especially Morella!!! It is definitely the best place for a morning pick-me-up :)
Such a cute and cozy bookstore and coffee shop! Ate here while visiting for lunch and the staff was so kind and the service was very fast for how busy they were. I got the jerk wrap and a rose Italian soda. Delicious!
